Welcome to the Capital Foreign Language Project Listening/Speaking Wikispace
Click "join this wiki" to you can contribute to the resources here (and upload your final projects).
Here, you will be able to review resources, add your own resources, post your homework assignments and share comments with your colleagues in the Foundations training.
On the left-hand menu, you'll see several pages labeled "listening" and "speaking". As we progress through the seminar, resources will be added to each of those pages. You are also encouraged to add resources related to these topics after they have been discussed in the seminar by navigating to the page you want to edit and clicking "Edit This Page" at the top. You must be signed in to edit pages.
Did you forget what the homework is for a given day of the seminar? Look at the menu on the left to find the "homework" page for the day you're interested in.
Would you like to browse existing online audio and audio/video files in your target language? Click on your language in the menu on the left and you will be directed to the online bookmarks I have for that language.
Do you know of a great web site with listening activities? Sign in and edit the page for your language by adding your link(s).
Across the top, you'll see the "discussion" and "history" tabs. The "discussion" tab allows space members to "talk" to each other. You may post messages, feedback, comments and questions here.
The "history" tab keeps a history of all versions of each page of the site. You can view previous versions of pages if changes have been made and you can also revert to a previous version if you made a mistake. Please be cautious when using the "revert" command. It cannot be reversed and others may have edited the page and be affected.
In the top right of this page, you will see a link called "Settings." Click on that (after signing in) and you will see the information related to your account on wikispaces. This is also where you go to change (or add) a picture of yourself.
Watch a tutorial on how to edit a wiki:
Note: this tutorial was originally made for another program, so the pages you see reflect what was created for that program. The process for editing a wiki (once you become a member) is the same.
Take wikispaces for a test drive: play in the sandbox!
Before using this page to edit documents, you may want to experiment with the editing tools of wikispaces by playing in the sandbox. In the sandbox, you can experiment with the edit functions, such as adding tables, text, hyperlinks and audio or video files. You can either type in text or link to documents/files already on the web. There is no way to link to documents on your computer.
If you have questions about how to use this page, please contact Nicole Naditz
